Middle Tech Europe Continues Growth with Addition of Indeed and Grindr

Brussels, 16 July 2026

Middle Tech Europe, the coalition representing the critical “middle voice” in EU technology policy, announced today that Indeed and Grindr, The Global Gayborhood in Your Pocket, have joined as new members strengthening the coalition’s mission to promote a fair, diverse, and open Internet across Europe.

The additions also expand the pool of digital services represented through Middle Tech Europe with members now operating across video sharing, communication, forums, media, online dating, hosting, e-commerce and other digital services.  Indeed and Grindr join Automattic, Dailymotion, Discord, Dropbox, Patreon, Pinterest, Reddit, WeWard, Yahoo and Yubo.

Middle Tech Europe promotes a fair, diverse and open internet that is enriched by a multitude of voices and creative ideas. It advocates for balanced regulation that fosters consumer choice and empowerment, greater innovation, and broad-based economic growth.

Indeed is pleased to join Middle Tech Europe and contribute to its work. Helping people get jobs depends on a trusted digital environment where job seekers and employers can connect safely, efficiently and at scale. We look forward to working with other members to ensure that regulation promotes this so that technology continues to expand access to opportunity”, said Annabel Ashely, Manager, Government Relations and Public Policy at Indeed.

“Advocating for Grindr’s global community means engaging where the rules are being written. We’re joining Middle Tech Europe to ensure LGBTQ+ people have a seat at the table as the EU shapes the future of tech policy,” said Joe Hack, Head of Global Government Affairs at Grindr.

“We’re delighted to welcome Indeed and Grindr to Middle Tech Europe. As we continue to grow, these companies strengthen our collective call for proportionate, risk-based regulation that reflects the diversity of business models and sizes. This perspective will be much needed in the years ahead as the EU continues to contemplate policy which will have a significant impact on the operations of our members,” said Kieran O’Keeffe, spokesperson for Middle Tech Europe.
