Middle Tech Europe (MTE) welcomes the Digital Fitness Check and the opportunity to provide input on key areas where our members see avoidable overlaps across EU legislation and potential to reduce reporting and bureaucratic burden.
Overlapping requirements are particularly burdensome for companies with limited resources, which often lack the extensive compliance teams of the largest competitors. As a coalition, we advocate for a proportionate and flexible regulatory approach to the digital sector and are therefore keen to contribute towards the common goal of simplification and streamlining of obligations.
